Mars opens Thailand's first Pringles factory in Chonburi with investment of more than THB 7 billion

Mars, Incorporated has officially opened Thailand's first Pringles factory in Chonburi province, following an investment of more than THB 7 billion, according to reports by The Nation (22 September 2026) and Khaosod English (23 September 2026) citing the company and the Thailand Board of Investment. The Nation reports the opening ceremony took place on 18 September 2026.

The plant is located in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Mars cites a factory area of 73,800 square metres on a total site of 208,000 square metres. Construction began in October 2023 and initial operations started in late 2025. The factory already supplies Pringles to India, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and its second production line has now started operating to serve additional markets across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Mars plans a third production line in late 2027.

The facility employed more than 170 people directly during its initial production phase, and Mars says nearly 50% of its procurement budget goes to suppliers in Thailand. Gabriel Fernandez, president for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa at Mars Snacking, said the opening demonstrated the company's long-term commitment to Thailand as a manufacturing and export base, pointing to the country's infrastructure, skilled workforce and connections with regional markets.

Anin Mekasuksai of the Board of Investment's foreign investment promotion division said the project showed Thailand's capacity to host advanced manufacturing and long-term foreign investment, and would help create quality jobs, develop skills and strengthen domestic supply chains.
