Cloud and AI investment; Thailand cloud region in build
Microsoft announced a Thailand datacenter region at Microsoft Build: AI Day in Bangkok on 1 May 2024, and has since announced more than US$1 billion of investment in Thailand spanning technology, trust and talent. The cloud region is being established through a partnership with Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group and its subsidiary True IDC, formalised in late 2025.
