Origin certification and trade licensing
The Ministry of Commerce department responsible for import and export licensing, trade measures and remedies, dual-use item controls, and certificates of origin. DFT is the designated authority for issuing Certificates of Origin for goods exported from Thailand, and also sets the criteria under which exporters may register for self-certification of origin. Its Smart C/O platform began issuing electronic Form D certificates for ASEAN FTA use on 28 April 2025, transmitted through the National Single Window and ASEAN Single Window.
